"The Junk" (also known as "specs" or "dots") refers to all the extra points you can play for within a match.
These include points for being closest to the hole on a par three or short par four (known as "the short"), making par after being in a fairway or greenside bunker (a "sandy"), making par after hitting a tree ( a "barky"), making par after hitting a cart path ( a "pathy"), or simply making birdie.
